SUBJECT : Technical Reporting – Memo Question

Dear Ms. Gard,

I am a student in your Technical Reporting class, and I am confused about today’s homework assignment.
I would appreciate it if you could explain what you mean by an “incident report”. Is there a place in the
textbook where I can find an example?

Thank you very much for your help.

Sincerely,
Jim

E-mail can be a good way to establish
new communication channels in class. It is also
an interesting resource to share content, videos,
graphics, class work, communicate with students
from other areas, practice languages, etc.
Establish Rules of Using
Email
• Dedicating a class or specific class time for the activity.
• Establishing basic rules for sending emails.
• Students must be properly informed of how to use email
service used in class.
• It is interesting to have a specific email account for school
communications.
• You must establish the topics that can be discussed by email
and those that can not.
• The mail sent to the teacher must be answered, better with a
motivating and well thought out message.
• Creating standarts for sending email in class can be very
simple and is a good way to improve communication in this
way.

the teacher, and returned by email.
2. The teacher can email learners a summary of classwork, plus homework or
extra material, or updates on classes, after each class or on a regular
(g.e. weekly) basis.
3. The teacher can email learner regular newsletters about the class and

holidays.
