Alarm- resistance and exhaustion. (happens when recognized the threat) b. Resistance- desires either to confront the stressor (fight) or to run away from the stressor (flight). c. Exhaustion- body resources will be depleted. • Relational- condition between persons and the situations they are in. Types Of Stressors (Eustress Vs. Distress)
1. Eustress- which is a term for positive
stress, and
2. Distress- which refers to negative stress.
Eustress has the following characteristics:
•Motivates, focuses energy.
•Is perceived as within our coping abilities. •Feels exciting. •Improves performance. •Is short-term.
