OBJECTIVE

• The main objective of this project is to reduce the number of transistors in

proposed comparator.
ABSTRACT
• Comparator is the vital building block of analog to digital converter.

• The need for energy efficient and high speed analog-to-digital converters is
necessary for the use of dynamic regenerative comparators.

• In this project the design of comparator is implemented using GDI technique.

• This project will reduce the leakage of the transistors in the entire system.

• Hence the proposed system gives effective results.

INTRODUCTION
• In Efficient analog to digital convertors , clocked regenerative comparators are
very much useful.

• They can make decisions quickly as they have good regerative feedback in the
regenerative flipflop.

• Different analyses such as noise, offset, random decision errors and white noise
are present in this work.

• The comparator design is modified for the reduction of the leakage power.
EXISTED SYSTEM
• This comparator has large input impedance, power supply rail to rail output
voltage swing.

• it doesn’t offer any static power consumption.

• Here number of transistors are used very high.

DISADVANTAGES
• Low speed

• High delay
PROPOSED SYSTEM
Continuation……….
• The above block diagram shows the proposed system.

• Here the inputs are taken as Input A and input B.

• Parametric measurement unit will measure the parameters from the coming
signals.

• GDI comparator unit will reduce the usage of number of transistors.

• At last output is obtained in effective way.

ADVANTAGES
• High speed

• low delay

• Less number of trasnistors

APPLICATIONS
• A to D converters.

• D to A converters.

• Oscillators.
SOFTWARE USED
 Tanner tool

• Tanner tool is used to design a circuit.

• The tanner tool instrument is to help design and confirm a circuit’s activity.

• The simulation results permit circuit designers to check and calibrate

designs before submitting them for fabrication.
