Types of Dimension

Physical dimension encompasses the


physical characteristics of a person.
Emotional dimension focuses on how a
person feels and reacts to his or her
environment. It is also the ability of a person
to understand oneself, acknowledge his or
her feelings, and cope with challenges.
Mental dimension describes a person's
cognitive functioning. This helps the person
acquire new knowledge and skills.
Social dimension encompasses the
individual's capacity to interact with other
people. It describes how a person relates
with others.
Moral-spiritual dimension describes the
person's morals, beliefs, and practices that
enable him or her to make health decisions.
Financial dimension focuses on how the
person handles his or her resources in order
to maintain health condition.
How are the dimensions of health
connected?
• Healthy mental and emotional health leads
to better physical health as the person
knows what to eat to stay fit and healthy.
• A healthy moral spiritual leads to a positive
outlook in life.This leads to a healthy
mental and emotional being.
• A well-managed financial health
contributes to a happier and more content

Wellness refers to the


healthy balance among
the dimensions of health.

• Keep a balanced diet and excercise
regularly.
• Get enough sleep and rest.
• Keep a positive outlook.
• Discover yourself better.
• Listen to other people.
• If troubled, seek advice from reliable and
trusted people.
• Express your emotions.
• Manage your finances properly
