 Reason for Choking

 Detailed survey of Pari Chowk carried out. Existing
three lanes provided have adequate capacity even if
traffic flows at 30 Kmph at the circle.
 Blocking of the road by autos.
 Improper halting of busses in the second and at times in
the third lane.
 No bypass for heavy vehicles.
 Restricted area available for busses, autos, personal and
commercial vehicles. Larger area can avoid congestion.
 Pedestrian crossing on the main expressway

 Shifting of bus stop at Pari Chowk to Alpha Commercial Metro
Station. Thus providing adequate area for busses, autos, private
car parking and commercial vehicles.
 Separate bus lanes (55 busses can be parked simultaneously).
 Separate auto lanes (More than 100 autos can be parked).
 Adequate car (180) and two wheeler / Cycle (350) parking.
 Multimode transit facility.
 No blocking of road and wrong side driving.
 Pedestrians can use metro bridge to cross roadway.
 NIL cost alternative. Relaying / strengthening of existing roads
may be required.

 In case shifting Pari Chowk bus stand to Alpha
Commercial not feasible.
 Shifting of bus stop to under the Pari Chowk metro station.
 An opening from the expressway to the service road to be
provided. Busses to stop under the metro station and join
the expressway at Tugalpur junction.
 Hard standing for auto stand to be made in the empty area
near Pari Chowk.
 Autos to use service road in front of Ansal Plaza to come to
Metro Station.
