ASSESSING VOCABULARY
 According to Heaton (1988:9) vocabulary test
measure the students knowdelge of the
meaning of certain words as well as the
pattern and collocation in which they occur.
TYPE OF VOCABULARY
 English vocabulary is divided into two kind:

Active vocabulary is word which the


students understand can pronoun and use in
speaking & writing.

Passive vocabulary is word that


recognize and understand when reading
& listening material.

dimensions. Therefore, we can use
appropriate types of vocabulary assessment
to measure the students’ vocabulary
mastery.
