About the Conference

 It intends to provide an interdisciplinary forum to various


professionals for debate, discussion, improvisations and etc. in the
broad area of agriculture base supply chain management.
 Empirical papers, case studies, and doctoral thesis relevant to the
theme of conference are also invited.
 AHSCC intends to provide a platform for deliberating various issues in
food security, nutrition, sustainable agriculture, and green economy,
logistics, and supply chain, technology in Agriculture and Horticulture
domain.
 We expect prospective authors to submit manuscripts related to the
themes of the conference.

Project Officer
 A Project Officer provides essential support to a project, working with the Project
Manager and other team members to achieve project success.
 Project Officers work in almost every field anywhere that projects are undertaken.
 Exact responsibilities will vary by project and industry, but key component of a
Project Officer’s roles include administrative and technological skills.
 Project Officers answer directly to a Project Manager.
 In our event, the name of Project officer was changed into Student Co Ordinator,
where he has to report the daily details to the Student and Faculty conveners, and
along with them as to make sure that the event work is right on the track.
Roles and Responsibility of the Project officer
In AHSCC following were the roles and responsibility of the student Co-ordinators
(Project Officer):
1. Organize Meetings- On a regular basis, the coordinators meet with the Student
and faculty convener to review progress and to discuss future steps. The
coordinators also arranged meetings with the other members of the project. Before
the meeting, he used to send out any relevant information
2. Maintain Documents- The coordinators were responsible for maintaining crucial
event documents which track event progress. They filed all project documents in
an appropriate database and ensure that all documents are accurate and had been
accepted by the faculty conveners.
5. Maintain Coordination- The other role of the coordinator was to maintain the
coordination among the different teams of the events such as to make sure that
the rest of the teams doesn’t works in the isolation and that there is a
coordination among the team members of the respective teams, constant contact
had been maintain with all the teams.
6. Identify Problems or Risks- Being so closely involved in the event, the
coordinators were relied upon to identify any potential issues or risks such as
sponsorship issues and marketing etc., that could effect the progression of the
event. They communicate these items with the conveners, and work to identify
potential solutions.
7. Manage the Schedule- Student coordinators closely watch the event schedule,
monitoring deadlines for each given task. They check regularly that every
deadline is still possible, and report any potential delays to the conveners.
Other major key duties
 Develop and manage budget for each project working with program manager,
meeting manager and meeting planner.
 Manage and facilitate flow of essential information among the team members.
 Maintain project calendar and milestones.
 Guide, train and tutor new users on utilization of tool and underlying analysis
defining its inputs.
 Identify trends and shifts in execution patterns to inform changes or adjustments to
model itself.
 Manage, supervise and control multiple project through project life cycle.
Skills required
 Thorough familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet
 Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently,
 Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, trouble-shoot, and to meet
short- and long-term deadlines
 Demonstrated experience in budget and financial management
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 Excellent critical and creative thinking and analytical skills
 Knowledge of project funding procedures and guidelines

The main task of core committee is to maintain the
coordination among the rest of the teams. To meet the
necessary deadlines at the right time and also to make sure
that the other teams has necessary resources to work

The job of the marketing team is to ensure that there is


proper publicity of the event across the various platforms
both offline and online which included social media
promotion, classrooms promotion, hostel promotion

Decoration team job was to do the entire event decoration


both at the event place and at the other campus premises,
so that it creates more hype for the event among the
students.
Hospitality team was assigned the task for the welcoming
of the distinguished speakers and guests and to make sure
that the necessary arrangements had been done within the
time to make their stay comfortable which included the
arrangement of accommodation as well.
The primary task of the sponsorship team was to allocate
the necessary funds for the event through the various
contacts in and off the college. The major sponsors of the
event were Indian Oil corporation of India, Himalayan Cove,
India Glycols Limited etc.
Arrangement of the snacks and lunch for the distinguished
speakers and other members of the event was done by the
food committee. They made sure that food quality and
supply was not compromised at any point of time of the
event. Also the food is prepared and served at the given
point of time.
From making the necessary travel arrangements for the
guests of the event to the timely and properly managed
arrival and departure of the guests, was handled by the
logistics team of the AHSCC
