IMPORTANCE OF BRAIN
STORMING
GROUP MEMBERS
BRAIN STORMING:
Brainstorming is a method for generating ideas to solve a design
problem. It usually involves a group, under the direction of a
facilitator. The strength of brainstorming is the potential participants
have in drawing associations between their ideas in a free-thinking
environment, thereby broadening the solution space.
WHAT IS BRAIN STORMING
Content Writing:
When content writers are getting into creative phase, many ideas come
up. Brainstorming help content writers to focus directly on ideas
generation, instead of constantly going back and forth. In a few words,
brainstorming can allow writer to stop overthinking, let the thoughts to
flow and write free without interruptions.
EXAMPLES
Studying:
• Students can learn more effectively with brainstorming because it
gives the chance for improvement in the processes of lateral, analytical
and critical thinking. Brainstorming increase the ambition for
learning at students by concentration ideas that resolve around certain
topic
EXAMPLES
Marketing:
Brainstorming answer the following questions:
“How to launch a new product?”
“How to generate targeted leads”
“Which way to develop a marketing plan”
“How to improve website usability”
In the process of creating marketing campaigns, it’s important to think of different
topics and angels, often unrelated to the final objective, but will eventually lead to the
solution that will bring positive outcome.
TYPES OF BRAIN STORMING
• Reverse Brainstorming:
• Brain Writing:
The session of brainwriting 6 people are provided with paper and they
are prompted and asked to write down as many ideas on it as possible
within 5 minutes. Then each person is made to pass his or her idea to the
next person and within the next 5 minutes, the next person is asked to do
the same and generate ideas on the original suggestion.
TYPES OF BRAIN STORMING
• Mind Mapping:
In mind mapping, a diagram is used to generate information about a
particular idea or a situation. The process begins by writing a word
which is the central idea of the subject of discussion.
That word is written on the center of a board or a page and the
participants then relate to the word and expand it into different
categories related to the same word. Several branches are drawn from
the word which relates to the central word but from different categories.
These categories are then interconnected and a web of ideas is formed
around the central idea. The primary benefit of having ideas together is
to make the participants connect each idea with the other visually.
