Green Spaces users survey in the city of Bragança

Aim
- To inform the local authorities in their decision on urban
and green spaces management under the framework of
the local green plan
Objectives:
- to identify patterns in the use by local population by
addressing both preferences and activities taking place in
green spaces;
- and to gain insight on residents’ perceptions over the
quality of the existent green spaces.
Methodology
• Domiciliary survey
• All questionnaires were filled in by trained interviewers,
addressing residents in their homes according to a five
zones
• By addressing the local population, the biases resulting
from sporadic visits were avoided
• Special attention was given to population
representativeness in terms of age, gender and education
level
