 Does Islam Provide us a
Political System
When you see different systems implementation there
in this world
there are some political system which are
implemented in middle east and there are some
political system which are implemented in America,
and Europe ， there are systems South Asian
countries such as Russia and China

what that which makes them different from
other that is more or less the usage of
democratic values into that system, that
different from another political system
 We need to be clear what exactly that what
political system we are talking about does
really Islam provide us with political system or
not?

 If we talk about the module there is a
democratic or political module in the west
 and there is democratic module or political
module which are communist people they have
it is still a kind of democracy , but after some
extent.

 In Islam when we say a political system or a
model so we have to be clear Islam doesn’t
provide us any model

 Model is something which has to go out of date after
some time
 model is designed usually by leaving the present
scenario, the situation, the behavior, the culture values
, the community, the believes, the education, by
keeping these things in our mind the model comes up
for a society
 And models vary according to the cultural or into the
country such as the Western democracy

different from the Western cooperative model of the
United state
 the Western democratic model get query and we go to
other part of the world similarly when we go to the east
there are different of life democratic political models
 so by that I mean and we should go to the history
 When we see the building of the history will find that
model has been changing in the period of time so by
that we understand that the model is something which
has to go out of the time

 if Islam would have provided us with a model so that
has to be going out of there because of the limitation
each and every modern have so
 than what is Islam actually provide us?
 Islam provides us with the principles not a model
 actually the basic point we have to understand here
Islam is actually providing us the set of principles
which will lead us towards a proper political model
which can be made in any time period, in any time
frame, in anywhere of the world according to the
culture keeping the values traditions in our mind

Now we are clear on one thing that Islam has not

provided us with a complete shape of model

but Islam has provided us actually a set of principles

through which we can come up easily with the
democratic or political model which will do in any
country in this world

 The Word Khilifa
 The word Khilafa which has been used around the
world by different people, different organization
 But there is a misunderstanding what they think, they
think the only model which has provided by Islam is the
Khilafa model so Muslims in that state or that political
system is Khilafa that called Islamic political system .
 but in the Islam, Khilafa is not any kind of model you
cannot call Khilafa in a model it is just a word which has
been used,and which have been taken from the first
community of Islam from the first four calfies and
companions of our prophet

are not realizing it and they are trying to convince other
people that Khilafa is only word which can be
implemented in Muslim world
 The Islamic Khilafa ,the Islamic political system is
basically Niyabat of Rasulullah that is Khilafa.
 when we say Khilafa or head of state in any Muslim
country by that it means he is actually the Nayib of
Rasulullah he is Khilifa of Prophet, and he inherited the
Amana of the state, Islamic state actually belongs Allah
and his Prophet

 So whosoever is elected or selected whatever
the model is in any Islamic state so he is
actually inheritor
 he actually having the Amana, he is actually
utilizing the Amana of Allah and his Rasul.

 What is basic concepts of
Islamic Political
 Political concepts of Islam are derived from the Qur'an,
and the Sunnah
 Political concepts in Islam include leadership by elected
or selected successors to the Prophet known as word
Caliphs
 following Islamic law or Sharia;
 the duty of rulers to seek Shura or consultation from
their subjects
 Islam seeks to establish a world community ,with
complete equality among peoples
 Islam never distinction of race class, or country or
culture

 Islam seek to convert by persuasion, not compulsion in
religious beliefs.
 Every individual being personally responsible to God
 It is duty of everyone to make a constant effort for
spreading the good and prevent evil
 Hence according to the Quran and Sunna a ruler must
be truthful and just.  Its means rather you are in west
political system or in east political system It is the
religious obligation of a ruler to provide justice to
everyone irrespective of color, cult, class, country and
creed.

Political Philosophy
 The belief in the Unity and the sovereignty of Allah is
the foundation of the social and moral system of
Islamic political system
 “The Authority rests with none but Allah. He
commands you not to surrender to anyone save Him.
This is the right way of life.”
 “They ask : have we also got some authority? Say: All
authority belongs to God alone.”

 Islamic Democracy

 Main point that Islamic political system is based on

democracy but that democracy is far away from
Western democracy
 when we talk about the western democratic system or
value, it bases on the freedom of individual
 for example British democracy system is that we will
see that whatever the majority say in the country that
becomes the ruler regulation and what is passed by
the Parliament become rule of the country

 that is freedom of individual and wherever the
majority takes you that’s where the regulation
is made
 but in Islamic democracy we have to be clear
in one point that as we know Islam have
always suggested the middle way
 The majority is always wrong

 because there are always into extreme even if
we see the capitalism it is a sort of extreme,
that the freedom of buying selling, making
money there is no limit to it ,that is one
extreme.
 on other hand if we see the socialism that is
another extreme that everything is nationalized
it is a new extremes

 when we talk about Islamic economic system it is in
the middle. Because you can enjoy your freedom
within the limits that is the middle ,the same way in
Islamic democracy we can enjoy the freedom but into
those boundaries which set by Quran and Suna
 we cannot cross those boundaries to enjoy
democracy, so in other word we can say Islam gives
the limited democracy and not unlimited democracy

 if any thing which is Haraam or anything has been
prohibited by Quran and Sunnah your law making
even the whole country or majority goes against idea
or even the majority or whole country tells you that we
want this law but quran and sunnah tells you that is
prohibited in Sharia that you cannot do it
 if anything on which you are not receiving any order or
any regulation from quran and Sunnah then you are
open to do it with a democratic value with the majority
you can go for
