What is Art?
Art comes from the Latin word “ARS” , meaning
anything humans make, or man made.
“Plan for what is difficult while it
is easy, do what is great while it is
small. The difficult things in this
world must be done while they are
easy, the greatest things in the
world must be done while they are
still small. For this reason sages
never do what is great, and this is
why they achieve greatness”
The boxer Muhammad Ali
(Cassius Clay) describe his
style as

“float[ing] like butterfly and

sting[ing] like a bee.”
Art implies a certain orderliness,
rationality, and grace.

the reality within us and outside through a medium.
“Why is art so varied — so different
from country, culture to culture? Is
there a one definition of art; or is art
defined by a culture so that what is art
in one is not in another?”

nature in all its depth and
variety.

they see.

feelings, but nature cannot.”
