Configure Router and

Access Point
Configure LAN IP aligned to Router LAN IP
Add
Disable, enable LAN
 Open network browser, inter the IP
Address of Router to login to the Router
 If you are unable to log into your router

• Router did not reset to default setting

• Cabling problems
• Wrong Log-in IP address, user name and
password
• LAN driver of the client is not installed
• Network browser is not working
• Cable did not inserted to the LAN fort of the
router
 Solutions
• Reset the router properly
• Review the cables or connect the router direct to the
client PC
• Check the LED lights of the router and PC
• Check the IP address, user name, and password
• Check the Connection of the cable, cable must be
connected to the LAN port of the router
• Use the ipconfig command
• Used the ping command
• Turn off the firewall
Select “WAN Only”
Enter the new IP of the Router
Enter the SSID “Wi Fi name”
Enter the Security of the Wi Fi
Select “Enable MAC Feltering
Enter the MAC address “to be filtered”
Enable DHCP
Enable Parental Control
 Configure Parental Control by adding the
MAC address of the devices under parental
controlled
Replace Log in User name and Password
Reboot the Router to save all the setting you
have changed
Access Pont
Change the login user name and password
Reboot the AP
Enter the Client IP Address
Enter the IP address of the Server
Pinging the Router, Access Point,
Server, Client and the wireless
device or Laptop
Turn off the firewall of the Client
Turn off firewall of the Server
Open Command Prompt Type “ping + the IP
address”
Ping the Server, Client, Router and Access
Point from the Laptop.
Disable the DHCP Before Configuring the
Server
Obtain the IP of the Client before configuring
the Server
Configuring the SERVER
Open Server manager window
Click Ad Role, Click next
Select “Active Directory Domain Services
Click next
Install DNS server “dcpromo”
Click “create a new domain in a new forest”
Enter the domain name
Click next
Select windows server 2008 r2
Click next
Click next
Enter the password, click next
Click next
Click next
Note: before installing the DHCP
server change the preferred DNS
server address
Install the DHCP server
Click validate
Installing Remote Desktop
Select remote desktop
Install Print and document
services
Select print and document services
Create Shared Folder
Create a folder on drive “C” to be shared
Configure Group Policy management
Configure “Active Directory Users and
Computers”
