What is a Simple Present Tense?

 The simple present tense is when you use a verb to tell about things that happen continually in the present
time, like every day, every week, or every month. We use the simple present tense for anything that happens
often or is factual.
Ex.
 I go to school every day.
 She is always drinking the coffee.
Habitual action

 Habitual action present is a verb in the present tense used to indicate an action that occurs regularly or
repeatedly. it may be accompanied by an adverb of frequency such as always, often, or seldom. Generally, it
is used for factual or habitual actions – things which occur in the present but are not necessarily occurring
now.
Ex.
 He runs every morning in the park.
 He goes to the market every day and comes back early every afternoon.
Futurity

 Simple present tense can be used to talk about future arrangements if a future time expression is used.
Ex.
 The bus arrives at 9 o’ clock in the evening.
 The plane lands at 3 o’ clock in the afternoon.
