Class x
z
Internet Service

 An Internet Services provider ISP is organization that provides

Services for accessing, using or participating in the Internet
Services typically provided by ISPs include Internet access,
Internet access,Internet Transit,domain name registration,web
hosting,unenet Services and collation.
z

Networking
 The practice or system of meeting or talking to other people doing
the same work as you or who may be useful to your work.
z
Disadvantages

 Bullying ,trolls ,stalkers and crime.

 Pornography and Violet images.

 Addition, Time waster, and causes distraction.

 Never being able to disconnect from work.

 Identity, theft, hacking, viruses and cheating.

 Sapm and advertising.

 Affect focus and patience.

 Depression, loneliness,and social isolation.

z
Types of Network
LAN

 Small computer network That area are confined to a locaised

area (e.g.,an office,a building or a factory)are known Local Area
NetworK.
z
MAN

 Metropolitan Area Network are spread over a city eg.cable,TV

network that are spread over a City ,can be termed as
metropolitan area Network.
z
WAN

 Wide Area Network are spread across counrties are known as

WAN. As wide area Network (WAN) is a group of computer that
are spread by large distance And teid together.
z

 VPN: A VPN is a secure turnal between two networks that

allow private traffic pass over another network, which may be
untreated It can be over a WAN but it can also be over a LAN.
z

 SAN: A Storage Area Network is a high speed sub network

of shared storage device.

 A SAN ‘s arhitecture works in a way that makes all storage

devices available to all servers on a LAo or WAN.
z
Network topology

Network topology is the arrangement the elements of a

communication network.Network topology can be used to define or
describe the arrangement of various types of telecommunication
Networks , including command and control ratio networks,
industrial field business amd computer network.
z

Ring Topology

 It is called ring topology because it forms a ring as each

computer is connected to another computer, with the last one.
z
Star Topology

 In this type of topology all the computer are connected to a

single hub through a cable. This hub is the central node and all
other node are connected to the central node.
z

Mesh topology

 It is a point to point connected to other nodes or devices. All the

network nodes are connected to each other.
z

 It has a root node and all other nodes are connected to it

forming a hierarchy.

 It is also called hierarchical Topology.

 It should Have three levels to to the hierarchy.

z
Hybrid Topology

 It is two different types of topology which ia a mixture of two or

more Topologies.
z
Daisy Chain

 A daisy chain is a type of network Topology that directs how network nodes
Topologically, computer-are linked.

 Different network Topologies support objectives, like easy of use, persistence

and fault tolerant design.
z
Network Divices

 Modem:It is also called as Modulator-demodulator.This divices

help to connect computers of various users through wired or
wireless telephones lines. It converts digital signals into analog
signals into digital signals (Demodulation)
z
Hub

 A hub is a device that connects multiple devices ports.

 A specific Cable Contacts the hub to the NIC.

z
Router

 A router is a communication devices that is used to connect two

different network, such as two different network, such as two LAN
Or a Man and WAN.
z
Network Architecture
 Network architecture is the design of a computer Network. It is a
framework for the specifications of a network’s physical
components and their functional organization and configuration,
it’s operationnal principales and producers,as well as
communications protocol used.

 Network Architecture refers to how computers are orgainsed in a

system and how tasks are allocated between these computers.
z
INTERNET

 Internet:A global computer network providing a variety of

information and communication facilities, consisting of
interconnected network using standardized communication
protocol.
History
z

 The first workable prototype of the Internet came in the late

1960swith the creation of ARPAET,or the Advanced Reasrch
Project Agency network……ARPANET adopted TCP/IP on
January 1,1983and from there researchers began to assemble
the network of network that become the modern internet.
z

Advantages

 The main advantage of Internet is the faster communication that

any other devices. It is an instant process.

 Communication in the Form of Internet vedio call,E-Mail etc.is

possible using internet.
z
Disadvantages

 Bullying, trolls, stalkers and crime.

 Addition time wasters and cause distraction.

 Never being able to disconnect from work.

 Identify theft, hacking, viruses and cheating.

 Spam and advertising.

 Affect focus and patience.

 Depression, loneliness and social isolation.

z Protocol

 Data transfer on a network involves Communication between

the client and the server system. So some Standard set of rules
are used by the two system to make to this communication
possible. These network communication rules are known as
Protocols.
