• (3) simhadi pippali (4) vana pippali
External Morphology:-
• An aromatic slender climber.
• Stems:- Cresping, Jointed, attached to other plants while
climbing.
• Leaves:- subacute , entire, glabrous , cordate at base.
• Flowers:- In pendulate spikes ,straight .
• Fruits:- Yellowish orange, ovoid, sank in fleshy spike or
earthy brown in colour , erect ,shining.
• Rhizome:- 0.5 to 1 cm thick,sometimes branched in
zigzag shape,Occasionally twisted ,ash grey or earthy
brown in colour.

Aamyik prayog:-
• (1) Jwara :-
• Decoction of pippali made in 4 times of water should be
taken.
• (2) Visucika:- Paste of pippali mixed with that of sunthi
should be taken with hot water.
• (3) Kasa:-
• Ghee cooked withh pippali & jaggery along with Goat's
milkn is useful.
• Intake of pippali & honey is useful in cough.
• (4) Hikka, Shwas:- n
• Powder of pippali , amalaki & sunthi mixed with honey &
sugar should be given frequently.
• Pippali taken with honey in morning alleviates cough ,
asthma ,anorexia & wasting.
• (5) Udar roga:- 1000 pippali fruits impregnated with snuhi
latex should be consumed gradually.
