Note: There are two types of HDV Phone registration, one is plug & play and second one is manual
registration. In order to use manual registration, you need to disable the force assignment to SIP
port.

Configure the DIL
Select the Extension for Manager Access

Select Enable for Manager Access then click Apply.


Record DISA for Auto Attendant
Make a Tess Call for DISA using Loopback

Make a test call from Extension 103 by dialing extension 110 which is connected to CO 1 port

TRS Level for Extension
Configure Leading Digits under TRS

Input leading digits number ”2” and select Deny on TRS level (COS) 2 then click Apply. This means that
all phones which assigned to TRS Level 2 cannot call leading digits number 2.
Configure the TRS levels of the Phones

Select extension 101 and change the TRS Level (COS) Day into 2 and select extension 109 and change
the TRS Level (COS) Day into 1. This means that 101 cannot call leading digits 2 but 109 can call leading
digits 2.

Requirements
KX-NS300/500/700/1000 version 4.3 or later with DSP
Version 4.2 can be used for demo only.
KX-NTV does NOT work with other PBX including SIP server.

Video call of KX-NTV is available with only following phones.


KX-HDV430
SIP software phone Bria by CounterPath for PC, tablet or smart-phone
(Other SIP video phones such as Grandstream are not recommended.)

KX-NTV supports H.264. But X-Lite by CounterPath supports H.263.


Installation Summary
Step 1 : Program KX-NS-PBX.
- Enable DHCP server function of KX-NS PBX. (for demo)
- Prepare 2 accounts for SIP extension. (177 and 301 for example)

Step 2 : Connect KX-NTV160 with PoE L2-Switch.


- Wait until yellow LED starts flashing.
- LED : Red (15s) -> Off (10s)-> Red (20s) -> Yellow Flash

Step 3 : Search IP address of KX-NTV160.


- Installation Wizard tool is provided by Panasonic.

Step 4 : Log-in to the IP address using Internet Explorer.


(A) Register KX-NTV to PBX as SIP server. KX-NTV160
Ext 177
(B) Program call destination from KX-NTV160.

Step 5 : Install Bria (SIP video software phone). SIP video software

Configuring SIP Trunk Carrier 1
Go to SIP Trunk Property > SIP Carrier 1 and Assign the parameters to SIP Carrier 1.
Set the Register Ability to Disable then Restart the PBX
Check the NS300 SIP License
Install V-SIPGW under Virtual Slot
Configure the Channel Attribute & SIP Server IP Address
Assign Username & Authentication IP under Account
Disable Register Ability
Enable V-SIPGW then Save & Restart the PBX
