COMPANY PROFILE

COMPANY BACKGROUND
• Jabatan Pengurusan Aset (JPA) formerly known as Unit Aset and
esthablished on January 2014 and this unit fully operated by Department of
Finance Unisel. After 2 years of operation under Finance Department, Unisel
management decided to make this unit as one of the department because of
the responsibilitiues and their operation become large with high demand of
its services by Unisel students, staffs and other customers from outside of
campus. In this case, in year 2016, this unit named as Jabatan Pengurusan
Harta Benda Unisel and Encik Mohd Khairi B. Hashim become the first
director in this department. After the one year of the operation in this name,
on 13th February 2017 after the Executive Meeting between directors and
management, this department newly named and officially launched as
Jabatan Pengurusan Aset and start its operations and services with four
others subordinate units which is Admin Units, Operation Units, Logistic Unit
and Enforcement Unit.
I was placed in the Asset Management Department

Selangor Kampus Shah Alam. at JPA during my
internship from 28th May to 07th September 2018.
This is because this company can provide more
knowledge and help me to gain more experience
during the training. I was placed under the assets
management department as a trainee because
management it is a part of my courses. The assets
management department is responsible to manage
purchase order (PO), delivery order (DO), stock
clearance, and training within the prescribed time.
Moreover, I have learned a lot of experiences during
my industrial training at JPA.
TRAINING OBJECTIVE
• To provide good opportunities to the students to gain more information
about current needs and requirements of the industry.

• i) To produce students who have the technical and professional skills


needed include communication, management and entrepreneurship.
• ii) Provide opportunities for students to engage as an employee in the
organization.
• iii) To expose students to the latest technology and management
which are used by the industry.
• iv) To enable students to gain experience and exposure to the realities
of working in the organization .
TASK TO BE HANDLED
As a practical student at Asset Management Department
(Jabatan Pengurusan Aset) in the Universiti Selangor Kampus
Shah Alam, I was given a range of tasks and responsibilities to
be handled throughout my internship training program. Hence I
was asked to conduct key in data of purchase order, data of
delivery order, stock clearajnce, inventory auditing and shorting
resume for contract based workers and also MS Excel system,
entertain customer, administrative tasks and so on. Therefore
attached with the task I have completed as my internship
training activities.

ORGANIZATION OBJECTIVE

• To provide quality service by providing professional


and customer-friendly services, providing conducive
and transformatic facilities and infrastructure to
support research, teaching and learning processes,
manage academic services efficiently within the
stipulated period and continuously contribute to
stakeholders and communities.
TYPE OF INDUSTRY & CORE ACTIVITIES

 Jabatan Pengurusan Aset prepare assets and inventory barcode for


tagging purpose for new inventories and current inventories.
 The tagging information is provided by department and I conducted
it by using Barcode Tagging System.
 Collect office staffs information such as full name, position and
current room or location details for staffs name tagging purpose and
also key tagging process for new lecturer room.
 Prepare inventories stock available and clearance report, shorting
resume from Human Resource Department, responsibilities to
shorting and select suitable applicant for vacancy in JPA
department for Shah Alam and Bestari Jaya Campus.
 Prepare repairs report in department such as lights and air
conditioner repairs .
 Last but not least, designing task which is need to design Shah Alam
Campus plan/in campus map for all the block and levels in campus.
TASK AND RESPONSIBILITY OF DEPARTMENT
i) Planning, managing and controlling the flow of
inventory and services information,
ii) Material handling, store, information, logistic,
operation and inventory.
iii) Storage, distribution, store, movement of stock
from one place to another (internally or
externally), tracking and delivery of stock.
iv) Customer service and store management.
v) Procurement process.
GENERAL OPERATION

• i) Managing inventory

• iii) Checking methods of work or quality
• iv) Stock checking
• v) Storage checking
• vi) Conducting a check list for the damage inventories
• Vii) Tagging all the asset and inventories accordingly by
category

PROJECT REPORT
PROBLEM STATEMENT
• Since starting of business 2014, this company never conduct the survey
for the employees.
• They know that employees are the most important resource for the
company improvement and they also understand that a satisfied worker
will assist in enhancing the productivity of company.
• But, this organization never conducts surveys to check employee’s
satisfaction. Hence, my research is needed to help the company to
determine the level of employee’s satisfaction.
RESEARCH OBJECTIVES
 To study employee level of satisfaction towards monetary
and non- monetary compensation.
 To identify employees level of satisfaction towards the
nature of their job
 To explore employee’s level of satisfaction toward
workplace safety & health.
 To examine employees level of satisfaction toward
workplace relationship.
SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDY
Use this satisfaction surveys to build a positive, productive
workforce by focusing on :
• Management development
• Team development
• training and career development programs
• benefits programs
LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY
• During these studies we have limitation in the form of time,
management
• I have face problem during conduct the survey with logistic and
operations unit.
• Depression occurred in myself while in the progress of this
research because a lot of unfamiliar elements should have to be
discovered.
LITERATURE REVIEW
Definition of employee satisfaction :
Employee satisfaction is the terminology
used to describe whether employees are
happy and contented and fulfilling their
desires and needs at work.
Many measures purpose that employee
satisfaction is a factor in employee
motivation, employee goal achievement, and
positive employee morale in the workplace.
• Employee satisfaction, while generally a positive in
your organization, can also be a downer if mediocre
employees stay because they are satisfied with your
work environment
• Factors contributing to employee satisfaction include
treating employees with respect, providing regular
employee recognition, empowering employees, offering
above industry-average benefits and compensation,
providing employee perks and company activities, and
positive management within a success framework of
goals, measurements, and expectations
RESEARCH METHODOLY
 Research Design

• This survey method research is descriptive research


which means the person take part in my research is
from Zoom Nine G Sdn.Bhd. Descriptive research is
defines as a study designed to depict the
participants in an accurate way. More simply put,
descriptive research is all about describing people
who take part in the study.
• Population and Sample Size

• A population is defines as a total of all individuals who


have certain characteristics and are of interest to a
researcher. My research population size is among the
workers in Zoom Nine G Sdn. Bhd.
• Regarding my research I have selected 20 employees
from logistic department as respondents from the
company to conduct the survey.
