Scope and Delimitations
This research focus on identifying the factors affecting
the school choice of former and current grade 10, 11 and
12 students of Cavite School of Life, Bacoor Campus. The
researchers chose the current and former Grades 10, 11
and 12 students of Cavite School of Life, Bacoor Campus
as the respondents of this research. The researchers
conduct this research with the help of 120 respondents
who may be a current student or a former student of
Cavite School of Life Bacoor Campus during Grades 10, 11
or 12.

Reviews of Related
Literature
The overall learning environment does play a role in the
quality of education a child receives. It is important to
note that the best learning environment for one child may
not be the best learning environment for another. (Meador,
D. 2017)
Studying such factors, Institutions, specifically post-
secondary schools, should be aware of what academic
factors are meaningful to students so they can highlight
their school’s strengths in recruitment and marketing
materials aimed at transfer students. (Schleicher, W. 2018)
When a student decides to transfer from one postsecondary
institution to another, they will likely consider the
following five academic factors:
(1)Majors and Minors
(2)Articulation Agreements
(3)Courses Transferring
(4)Internships
(5) College-Ready Senior High Schools
Students also ponder these five institutional factors when
deciding on their transfer destination:
(1) Type of institutions (2) Cost (3) Size of insitution (4)
Good Facilities (5) Location (Schleicher, W. 2018)

Methodology
RESEARCH DESIGN

The researchers utilized a descriptive research design. According to Ethridge

(2004) descriptive research can be explained as a statement of affairs as they
are at present with the researcher having no control over variable. Moreover,
“descriptive studies may be characterized as simply the attempt to determine,
describe or identify what is, while analytical research attempts to establish
why it is that way or how it came to be”. There are previous researches about
the different factors affecting or influencing the school choice of students and
the researchers would like to explain it according to the data gathered. The
goal of the research is quantitative. The researchers have also concluded the
benefits of using the Deductive Analysis way in gathering data from the
respondents through the help of the survey-questionnaires.
RESEARCH DESIGN

The questions are align to the statement of the problem and significance of the
study. This method will emphasize the study of the researchers to know and
determine the effects of the relevant given factors in terms of the school
choice of the respondents. Careful planning of the procedures and materials
used for this quantitative research was taken into consideration. The
accumulated variables or factors would therefore be the supporting findings of
the study regarding the factors affecting the school choice of former and
current students in Grades 10, 11, and 12 of Cavite School of Life – Bacoor
Campus.
RESEARCH INSTRUMENTATION

The researchers developed a self-constructed survey that

will be the main data gathering instrument for the study.
The survey questionnaires were aimed to eliciting relevant
information concerning to the effects of the different
factors that were indicated in the survey to the school
choice of former and current Grade 10, 11, and 12 students
of Cavite School of Life.

Sampling Techniques

The researchers chose to use the stratified sampling

method where the population will be divided into smaller
groups that is also known as strata. This sampling
technique is use by the researchers to categorize the
former and current students of grade 10 to 12, in that way,
the researchers will be able to collect data that can be
precise according to the sub group of where the data was
collected.

Chapter 5
Summary of Findings
Conclusion
Students’ rating on senior high ready, being the highest factor that greatly
influence or affects the school choice of the respondents, can be attributed to
their status as student in an institution. Since majority of the students from the
said respondents are future senior high students and current senior high students,
it is expected that their primary consideration in school choice would be one that
is ready as in institution for senior high school through having a college approach
education, offering a complete strands for senior high such as STEM, HUMSS, ABM,
GA, TECHVOC, and many more that is aligned to the DepEd curriculum for senior
high level. Results indicated that for the current and former grade 10, 11, and 12
students of Cavite School of Life – Bacoor Campus in the academic year 2019-
2020, that readiness of the school when it comes to senior high school comes first
in deciding for a school.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the major findings from the study and conclusions,
the following recommendations were formulated:

School Administrators should create a system where they can

distinguish the student’s means of satisfaction for a school. In
this way, through the results of the research, they can
prepare and execute an agenda that can attract the desires of
the parents and students and persuade them to study at their
school.

Students, as the main subject of the research, can use this

study as a guideline to be able to determine their exact
preferences, so that they can make a wise decision in
choosing where to study in order to be satisfied with their
stay and studying inside the school.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Teachers are one of the given factors for the students, and
the researchers recommend this to teachers so that can be
informed on how they should move and treat the students
inside the school. This can also be a guide for awareness on
how they can make the students satisfied and happy with
their way of teaching.

Parents, just like the students, can use this study as a

guideline in choosing a school for their kid/s to study at,
especially when it comes to the price of the tuition fee and
other payments to be transacted. Also, they should choose a
school where their kids can be comfortable in studying and
staying because according to the research made, every given
are mostly strongly agreed by the students.
RECOMMENDATIONS

Future Researchers can use this study as an educated basis

for their research that can relate to the topic. They can also
use this research to see how they can improve and strengthen
the reliability of their research that relates to this study.
