h In a study of nearly 90 teens, half living with
lesbian mothers and the others with
heterosexual couples, both groups fared
similarly in school. Teen boys in same-sex
households had grade point averages of about
2.9, compared with 2.65 for their counterparts
in heterosexual homes. Teen girls showed
similar results.
h Children in lesbian homes scored higher than
kids in straight families on some psychological
measures of self-esteem and confidence, did
better academically and were less likely to
have behavioral problems, such as rule-
breaking and aggression.
h All these kids, in the case of the kids that are
born from lesbians, are planned kids; in the
cases of adoptions are kids really appreciated
and loved, this increase their self-esteem.

they analyze the genetic genealogy of 40 families
with at least one homosexual member.

that is proud of her to mothers, and goes with her
boyfriend to the gay pried parades. She is
heterosexual.

applied.

to have the common symptoms of abuse such
as depression or fear.
