Introduction

• The future will bring great advances to the wireless landscape due to
multiple factors -
 Growth in Broadband- high-speed transmission will permit massive
volumes of data to be transported to and from mobile sites.
 Cheaper and more powerful wireless devices will spawn more
sophisticated and robust applications.
 Internet connectivity will become ubiquitous in the remotest part of the
globe.
• Many Corporations and vendors are currently harnessing wireless
technologies and using them successfully to gain competitive advantages.
• As the wireless market advances, early adopters will have the self-
confidence and expertise to further exploit these to their advantage

Future of Wireless in India

• India is emerging as one of the largest market in the world for

wireless.

• Broadband wireless communications will be a major thrust area

for India.

• Wireless is possibly the only way forward to connect most of

the 6 lacs villages to internet.

There is a huge upside in the opportunities for the growth of wireless

products and solutions since the market is now maturing, and people are
realizing the benefit of a pervasive wireless network.
