1. What is Applications Program?
An application program is a comprehensive, self-contained program that
performs a particular function directly for the user. Among many others, app
lication programs include:
• Email
• Web browsers
• Games
• Word processors
• Accounting software
• Graphics software
• Media players
• Database management
2. What are the types of applications software?

Types of Application Software: According to the need of users it is cat

egorized into following types.
• Presentation Software: Presentation program is a program to show
the information in the form of slides. We can add text, graphics vid
eo and images to slides to make them more informative.
• Spreadsheet Software: Spreadsheet software is used to perform m
anipulate and calculations. In spreadsheet software data is stored i
n intersection row and column.
• Database Software: Database is a collection of data related to any a
pplications.
• Multimedia Software: Multimedia is a combination of text, graphic
s, audio and Multimedia software used in the editing of video, audi
o and text. Multimedia software used in the growth of business, e
ducations, information, remote system and entertainment.

• Simulation Software: Simulation is an imitation of real world and e

nvironment. The simulation creates a physical environment of the
real world to represent the similar behaviour, function and key nat
ure of the selected topic.

• Word Processing Software: Word Processing software is used to m

anipulate, format the text, to create memos, letters, faxes and doc

uments.

How to Submit Files Via Email to Yahoo

As we know, e-mail can not only be used to send text messages but can als
o be used to send files as attachments, and the following is a guide:
1. Login to your account.
2. Click Write, then enter the destination email address in the To/column,
and fill in the subject or title.
3. For message body, please fill in as needed.
4. Click the clip (near the send button) then find the file you want to send,

5. Wait until the upload process from your PC is complete.
6. If there is nothing else you want l then click Send.

Application software (app for short) is a program or

group of programs designed for end users.
Examples of an application include a word processor,
a spreadsheet, an accounting application, a web browse
r, an email client, a media player, a file viewer, simulator
s, a console game or a photo editor. This contrasts with
system software, which is mainly involved with running
the computer.
