• COHORT - a group of people with a shared
characteristic

• A group of people who experience same event
at same interval of time
• Eg. Birth cohort
 COHORT ANALYSIS
• Refers to the study of cohorts – at two or
more points of time
• A multiple cross sectional design includes two
or more samples and information collected at
once.
• Series of surveys conducted at different
intervals
• Cohort serves as the basic unit
