THIS PROBLEM?

• Initially it was the tragic loss of my


partner hold lesbian women in high
esteem .I was born into environment of
abuse but fortunately . Further more ,
people not recognize lesbians as
human beings and taking as
uncultured.

• The issue is extremely important as

• We want the act of ‘Corrective Rape as


Hate Crime’ We are providing support,
counselling, HIV testing ,food and
safety to the women affected

• The key is the community as the


whole. We have developed strong
partnerships bringing about a lesbian
society with soccer teams ,computer
literacy classes, workshops and general
women empowerment

are the main source. We have had
assistance from community members
and these have been put to keep the
momentum going and help the victims

and seeing each through to the end.
We also hold consensus meetings
regularly to ascertain areas for
improvement

• More girls/females joining us after a


decisive conclusion. The number of the
coming forward now is encouraging as
the trust is increasing all the time

by the numbers we now have and the
ever-increasing positive community
response.

• It is sustainable as long as there is

continued financial support. It could be


replicated by anyone although it we be
difficult without proper funding .
