m Our project aims at live monitoring of the heart patient.

m The ECG level and the beat rate may go down at any time when the
patient is overexcited, depressed or at time of stress or strain.

m A patient wearing our device gets continuously informed about the

condition of his heart.

m As the client is equipped with a GPS Device, the location of the

person can also be traced by the Doctor or care taker
m ˜t uses the conventional Telephone wires for data transfer and not
portable, which makes it impossible for carrying.

m GPS is not integrated

m Some of them are equipped with some form of storage, which

allows them to store the ECG data and be analysed after
transferring them to a computer
m The Patient is provided with a portable device that continuously
monitor the heart and details will be sent to the server.

m The server will monitor this data.

m When it detect any vulnerable situation, it informs the doctor and

caretaker regarding the situation of the patient.

m ˜n addition to that, the doctor can lively monitor the ECG graph and
current geographic location of the patient.

m The Server first opens the specified port and starts accepting
incoming connections.
m Once a client connects to the Server, a new thread is created for
monitoring the incoming data.
m The Data will be in the form of bytes. This needs to be converted to
string for being processed.
m The condition of the heart will now be monitored.
m ˜f the condition goes bad, an email and SMS will be sent to the
doctor and care taker of the patient.
m The details will be logged.
m The GPS Module is used for tracking the location of the patient.

m Here, we use the Google Latitude AP˜ for GPS implementation.

m A GPS enabled Smart Phone continuously monitors the Location

Details and updates the Server.

m The Doctor can view the Location of the patient in a map.

m The map has different views like Satellite View, Road Map View,
Hybrid View, Terrain View
m The Graph module can used to plot the live ECG Data received
from the client.

m The Doctor can monitor the condition of the heart in real-time.

m The Client-Side Simulator simulates the ECG Card.

m The Unique Patient ˜D & situation of the heart is concatenated and

converted to bytes.

m These bytes are transferred sent over the ˜nternet to the server
through GPRS internet.
