•There are many retailers who do not advertise themselves.

•The income of the retailers surveyed appeared to be limited


and hence it directly affects their decision to advertise.

Findings
•The respondents who advertise themselves chose
print media as their main mode of advertisement.

•Print Media included wall paintings, pamphlet


distribution, newspaper add.

•Retailers believe that advertising on radio costs a lot..

• Retailers, who advertise, choose print as their
preferred media as they feel it gives them more
visibility when compared to the cost of other media.
• Those who chose electronic media, usually advertise
on the local channel, which costs them Rs 3000 per
month
• The retailers who advertise, according to the survey
45% advertise on occasions and festivals while 15%
advertise regularly.

• Retailers using print media are 60 and electronic


media are 5 and people using both the media are 25.

• According to the survey, 127 respondents do not use
radio as their media of advertisement, which
includes the retailers who does not advertise, so here
is the segment which can be worked upon and
converted to Radio City clients.

• The mean budget that comes out from the 74


respondents who have mentioned their budget is Rs
68,750.

• Maximum number of respondents who advertise


have their budget below 1, 00,000 annually.

• Mode of the budget is Rs 5000 which means that out


of them who advertise maximum frequency is of Rs

• While surveying the markets it was observed that the


retailers are in big numbers with garments business,
jewelers, and provision stores.

• According to the survey, sample size is of 150


retailers out of which 60 do not advertise and 90
advertise and among all there are 33 positive
retailers.

Recommendations
• Many retailers are not aware of the procedure of
advertising on radio so making them aware about it
will help in increasing the revenue.

• Making retailers aware about the cost-benefit


relationship of advertising on Radio City.

• Making them aware about the segment focused by


Radio City i.e. SEC AB-25-34( Socio Economic class
age segment 25-34)

• Retailers are not willing to spend much on
advertisement so events can be organized where in 4-5
retailers may come together and such plans when
introduced will help to focus on the segment and
hence increasing the revenue.

• The potential clientele mentioned in the study can be


focused and converted as clients for Radio City.

• Retailers who advertise but do not do it with Radio


City can be focused more.

• Retailers who have attained Graduation or are well
educated can be tapped, as they can understand better.

• Some special programme should be launched where


the focus could be put to Provision Stores & General
stores which is a untapped market with lot of potential.
