Admission Guidelines
• Eligibility:
– Till 2007 – 40% in graduation

– During 2008 - 45% in graduation

– From 2009 – 50% in graduation

• No. of year of Education: 15 Year (min)


• Submission Date: November 1, 2008
(Proof of Eligibility) (for the Class of 2010)

Pre – MBA Program
• Offer bridge courses. Works like an equalizer.
• Starts on June 1 of the academic year.
• Compulsory for all students.
• Students will be evaluated for their performance
in Pre-MBA Program.
• Current Structure:
– English Language Bridge Course (ELBC)
– Quantitative Methods
– PC Lab
– Financial Accounting
Courseware
• Workbooks are supplied only for specified
courses. (eg. Financial Management,
Quantitative Methods, etc.)
• Discontinued supply of Study Guide and
Book of Readings. Students can use these
from the library copies.
• Supply of E-Learning Kits/Teaching Kits
for more courses.
Pre-requisite Courses

• All courses offered in Year I and the


Internship Program are pre-requisite
courses to progress to Year II of the MBA
Program.
• Pre-requisite courses specified for elective
courses are to be implemented .
– Ex. Security Analysis is a pre-requisite course for Portfolio
Management & Mutual Funds
Minimum Academic Requirements
1. The total number of D and E grades in each
semester should not exceed three of which the
number of E grades should not exceed one.
2. The cumulative number of D and E grades and
cumulative of E grades secured by a student at
the end of each semester should not exceed:

Minimum Academic Requirements

3. Should have minimum CGPA of 5.50.

4. A student should secure a ‘satisfactory’ grade


in both the Soft Skills Labs i.e., Soft Skills Lab
– I and Soft Skills Lab – II.

5. Those who fail to meet the MAR at end of Sem


II of Year I are not permitted to register for
Year II.
Minimum Academic Requirements
6. Student should complete the program with in 4
years from the date of first registration.
Other Requirements:

7. He/She should not have any outstanding dues.

8. No case of indiscipline is pending against the


student.
9. No case of unfair means is pending against the
student.

Summer Semester
◙ Offered for students who have afflictions or NC
after the Semester II and Semester IV.
◙ Should be done along with the Internship
Program after Semester II.
◙ Offered in SIP Campuses.
◙ Can register for a maximum of 3 courses. This
includes afflictions, Unsatisfactory grade and
NC.
◙ Can be allowed to register for Year II courses
only if the student meets the Minimum Academic
Requirements for Year I/IP.
Summer Semester
◙ If a student does not meet MAR after
Summer Semester, then he/she has to
register for the course (s) during regular
offering.
◙ Fee charged is Rs.2,500/- per course,
exclusive of boarding and lodging.
◙ Duration is about 2½ months.
◙ Evaluation – 50% internal + 50% external.
Internal exam will have three components
viz., C1, C2 and C3 each carrying 15%, 15%
and 20% weightage respectively.
Internship Program
◙ To be pursued at notified INC campuses.
◙ Students in following cases have to
undertake IP in Campuses allotted to them:
◙Those who have not met MAR at the end of
Semester I;
◙Those with the background of disciplinary action
or pending investigation.
◙ Students with D & E grades are required to
repeat the SIP before they are permitted to
register for Semester III.
Unfair Practices
Unfair practices detected during examinations
would result in :
• Cancellation of registration for the course
• Cancellation of registration for the subsequent
semester

Students whose registration is cancelled due to unfair practice


are awarded RC, which is subsequently converted to RRA.
Such students are required to register again for the course
during the regular offering only. They are not permitted to
register for the summer semester.
Unfair Practices

• Cancellation of scholarships
• Cancellation of LEAD assistance
• Cancellation of student assistantship
• Cancellation of academic initiatives
• Cancellation of fee waiver granted ,if any
• Not providing placement assistance.
Attendance Policy

◙ To achieve minimum of 75% in each course;


◙ Regional Head to permit students up to 60%
attendance, based on the recommendations
from Campus Head and on merits;
◙ Those below 60% have to register for
Summer Semester.
Prohibition of Use of Cell Phones, etc.

◙ iPODs are included in addition to the


existing.
◙ Pagers are removed as these services are
not available any more.
Prohibition of Ragging

Any student indulging in the act


of ragging, will be severely
dealt with.
Sexual Harassment and
Code of Conduct
Any student indulging in
violation of human rights
including sexual harassment
shall be severely dealt with
as per policy and guidelines
issued in this respect from
time to time.
