V The relationship is between the superior and subordinate.

Based
on the chart above, the superior is a major position in the
company. The most powerful person in an organization, means
the Managing Director of the company. And the relationship is
between the subordinate which is the Executive Director. Direct
relationship is about the direct communication between position
where we can see that the Managing Director and Executive
Director can having a communication without any third person. In
line relationships, authority flows vertically down through the
structure which is chain command.

Direct line
V The relationship that has same authority between departments is
called as lateral relationship. Based on the chart above, it is
between the head of purchasing , head of contract and head of
technical. This relationship is connected to each other horizontally
or side to side where we can see that lateral is at the same level of
authority.
V There are between functional specialist and line manager and/or their
sub-ordinates the specialists provides a services, but has no authority
over line manager or his sub-ordinates not any responsibility to them the
specialist is responsible only to his line manager. Based on the chart
above, in order the department to communicate with the managing
director or executive director, they need to go through the secretary. This
is called as functional relationship. Even the secretary has no authority to
give an order to the committee, but they have an authority based on the
order from the managing director or executive director. The specialist
offers a common service throughout all department of the organization,
but has no direct authority over those who make use of the service.

Functional line
V These are the result of direct delegation of authority by a manager to an
assistant who exercises that authority on his behalf the strength of
authority will depend on the formality of the delegation and the extent of
the support from delegating authority. Staff relationship is between
individual within same or between departments. Based on the chart
above, it is between individual in the committee or between other
committee. An individual would have no authority of his own but would
operate on the authority of the superior to whom is being assigned. Staff
relationship would exist between an individual and his personal secretary
or personal assistant.

Staff relationship
V The number of subordinates working directly under a manager.
For my organization structure we used short chain of command
because the organizational have a wider span of control. This is
why because the communication is quicker and more accurate, it
also less remote from top manager from the Lower Level of the
hierarchy.
V The structure in an organization allows
instruction to be passed from senior
management to lower levels of management.

V While the responsibility for risk management implementation lies
with each of the individual operating companies. Having effective
corporate governance policies in place is vital. We realize the

company that I have managed to devise. This chart
represents or gives an overall picture of how roles
are allocated and helps the Managing Director to
indentify organizational problems and develop
procedures and succession plans. It also gives new
employees a better idea how the company are
running and shape of the organization. The
organization chart also give the employees
direction to which person their need to report. For
example, project manager need to report to project
director for each task that need to do.

V Policy and law is two different things. Policy is refer to the
guide or an action procedures while law is a rule or
prohibits behaviours.

V Strategy refers to a plan of action designed to
achieve a particular goal.
V oncerned with the conduct of an engagement,
while strategy is concerned with how different
engagements are linked.

V One of the most important processes in business is corporate
planning. It is basically start from the aim of the company
through the objective and also mission. The right
management also to conduct well communication between
people inside the organisation.
V orporate planning includes the goals of the objective in
order to have a good management of the organization.
Through this corporate planning, can produce a good
quality of the company management. orporate planning
represents a formal, structured approach to achieving
objectives and to implementing the corporate strategy of an
organization.

objective and mission of the company as a goals to achieve
the aim level of the company

V According to my company, the main market that they involved is heavy / civil and also
in building. The Mudajaya Group Berhad had been heavily involved in engineering
and infrastructure contracting, a key aspect of the Mudajaya Group Berhad success
today.

V Most of the client is from a private sector. The
private sector is basically aim for the profit and
income. For example, the company had build hotel
located at the LT, sepang which is the client is
Tune Venture Sdn Bhd. The client is the one who
provide the financial for the project. Most of the
time, the project is conduct by the authority and
design by the third party. Because of the project is
made by the private sector, the building is owned
by the client itself and occupy the building
eventually.

V The company had involved in many heavy project and also many
of building project. In order to have a good skills and proper
management, the chosen of the organizational during construction
is really important.
V onsultant team take a big role to develop a good planning of the
project. The consultants such as the architect, engineers, quantity
surveyor, contractors and also project manager plays a big role in
manage the project well. Everything need to calculate well and
every consultant should involved in order having a better quality
in producing the work.
V Of course client is the person who prepared the budget of the
project. Within the budget, every expertise needs to have a
relevant chosen of the method and also the material to be used for
the project
