Introduction
Attendance Maintenance System is a software developed for daily student attendance in schools and colleges. It facilitates to access the attendance information of students in a particular class. The information is sorted by the operators, which will be provided by the faculty for a class. This system will also help in evaluating attendance eligibility criteria of students.

Feasibility Study
Economically Feasibility:
The system under development is economically sound with respect to institutes point of view. It is cost effective in the sense that has eliminated the paper work. The system is time efficient because the calculations are automated which are made at the end of the month or as per the user requirement. The result obtained contains minimum errors and are highly accurate.

Technical feasibility:
The hardware and software requirements of the product are feasible.

Behavioral Feasibility:
The system is quite easy to use and learn due to its simple and attractive interface. User requires no special training for operating this product.

Why AMS??
The purpose of developing an AMS is to computerize the traditional way of attendance count. Another purpose for development of such a product is the generation of reports automatically.

System Requirements
Front End : Java Backend : MS Access Minimum RAM: 128 MB Hard Disk: 20 GB Processor: Intel Pentium 3 Operating System: Windows XP Service Pack 2 Office Tools : MS Office

Module Description
AMS basically has two main modules:

Scope of AMS
It is of utmost importance in educational institutes. Moreover, an enhancement in AMS could be in the form of a Finger Print Simulation for authenticating the person taking attendance. Right now it is being used as a desktop application, but it could be made available online.

Conclusion
The system has reached a steady state where bugs have been eliminated. The system operates at a high level of efficiency and all the teachers and user associated with the system understands its advantage. The system solves the problem it was intended to solve as requirement specification.
