According

to Baron & Greenberg defined, Communication as the process by which a person, group or organization (the sender) transmits some type of information (the message) to another person, group or organization (the receiver). to Keith Davis, Communication is a process of passing information and understanding from one person to another.

According

The

process of communication requires a full cycle of events from sender to the receiver and back to the sender. Communication is essentially transmission of message between two or more individuals since message transmission starts from the sender. Communication process is usually explained through a simple model depicting how the senders message passes through different stages and gets processed by which the receiver receives the message.

The

model has seven sequential components. They include: 1) The sender/communicator 2) The encoding 3) The message 4) The channel/medium 5) The decoding 6) The receiver 7) The feedback

is the one who initiates the action of communicating. The sender may be an individual, a group, or an entire organization. The sender is the source of the message. s/he prepares the message and takes initiative for its communication. In fact, it is the sender who has some information, ideas, facts, desires or emotions, which s/he intends to share with one or more people.
Sender

It

refers to converting a communication message into symbolic form. is necessary because information can only be transmitted from sender to receiver through symbols or gestures. encoding, the sender translates her/his ideas or the information into a series of symbols, words, pictures or gestures for proper communication which can be understood by the receiver.

Encoding

In

In

encoding, the sender translates her/his ideas or the information into a series of symbols, words, pictures or gestures for proper communication which can be understood by the receiver. sender has to visualize communication from the receivers point of view, then only the receiver can properly understand the message. Thus there is no chance for miscommunication. better the encoding of message, better will be the understanding of the message by the receiver and more effective will be communication.

is a channel through which a communication message travels and it connects the communicator (sender) and the receiver.

Face-to-face

verbal communication, use of telephone, memorandum, notice, circulars, statement etc. are the various means available as media of communication. media like signals, symbols, gestures, etc. may also be used.

Non-verbal

a process by which the receiver interprets the message and translates it into meaningful information. senders message translated by the receiver is called decoding. a process of converting the message back into ideas.

person who receives the message is called receiver. process is incomplete without the existence of receiver of message.

The

actual response of the receiver to the message communicated to him/her is known as feedback. reaction, response, and the reply together form the feedback.
