 Windows NT was developed by Microsofts effort to the workstation market, Microsoft released Windows NT 4.0  Windows 95 interface on top of the Windows NT kernel

Windows 2000 Overview


Windows 2000 was released in February 2000 by Microsoft and was known during its development cycle as "NT 5.0. Windows 2000 was successfully deployed both on the server and the workstation markets. Its new feature is:
Active Directory a near-complete replacement of the NT 4.0 Windows Server domain model.
