Objective - To take the overall view of the ICD. Data Type primary data collection through the questionnaires. Method - convenience sample. Population of interest - the existing customers and CHAs
Also I have taken the views of the employees working inside the branch
Limitation
It was not possible to understand thoroughly about the different marketing and promotional aspects of the products within 74 days. All the work given to me was limited. The area of research was ICD Garhi Hasuru where I was working. Population of interest was the existing customers and CHAs of Gateway Rail.
Recommendations (1/2)
Divide the entire customer base in to parts and then formulate strategies for each type of customers separately. Company should give added advantages to the customers who tranship high volumes of commodities. These customers will be called Privilege Customer. Privilege Customers will enjoy the benefits like discounts, Credit facility etc Better Services like proper Time Table of train movement , Installation of Toll Free Numbers, announce Customer of the Year. Trailers were blocking the Main Gate

The company should be able to solve the grievances as soon as possible; when the customers feel that the company is not responsive they switch to other companies. Provide some autonomy in the system so that employees are free to take small decisions and resolve the matter. The company requires branding of image. Installation of CCTV cameras at the terminal is very important.
