Money Available
The Global Fund to Fight Aids, TB and Malaria has announced that unless donations double it will have to stop processing grant applications because requests for help have outstripped the money available. Set up by the United Nations with the intention of raising $10 billion to combat AIDS in poor countries, the fund has so far received only $2.1 billion in pledges and only $650 million in hard cash. Fund director Richard Feachem said, We cant go on making commitments to fund projects without being dead sure we have the money.

The scientists are virtually screaming from the rooftops now. The debate is over! There's no longer any debate in the scientific community about this. But the political systems around the world have held this at arm's length because it's an inconvenient truth, because they don't want to accept that it's a moral imperative. CORE NOTES - GP PAPER 1 Terrorism

The Pakistani newspaper Ummat, in its Sept. 28, issue, published an interview with Bin Laden, in which the question was asked: "You have been accused of involvement in the attacks in New York and Washington. What do you want to say about this? If you are not involved, who might be?" USAMA BIN LADEN: (...) I have already said that I am not involved in the 11 September attacks in the United States. As a Muslim, I try my best to avoid telling a lie. I had no knowledge of these attacks, nor do I consider the killing of innocent women, children and other humans as an appreciable act. Islam strictly forbids causing harm to innocent women, children and other people. Such a practice is forbidden even in the course of a battle.
