Introduction

4/22/12

The moment we step out of our shop we have a fear that someone would be planning to stole our precious saving and investments.

We wish to make a full proof security system that will provide tension free environment for the same.

4/22/12

MOTIVATION FOR THE PROJECT

In today's times the extent of robberies of valuable equipment has gone up to a great extent.

Thus due to the failure of such security systems we studied about and developed our own concept of security system where in we try to cover all bases possible to safeguard the equipment 4/22/12

Image Acquisition A digital image is a representation of a

two-dimensional image as a finite set of digital values, called picture elements or pixels

4/22/12

Pixel values typically represent gray levels, colors, heights, opacities etc

1 pixel

In digitalization there are approximation of a real image

4/22/12

Image formats include: 1 sample per point (B&W or Grayscale) 3 samples per point (Red, Green, and Blue) 4 samples per point (Red, Green, Blue, and Alpha, a.k.a. Opacity)

BMP file format

For this project we will focus on grey-scale images

4/22/12

NATURE OF THE PROBLEM

Given an image,recognize(identify) objects

The hard part: the same object can look incredibly different in different images due to differences in view points, illumination, color, occlusions, etc.

A robust recognizer must develop invariant recognition (translation, size, rotation?)

Background detection on basis of two frames

Bi = 1 if bi>th. else =0 if bi<th. The algorithm of two-frame-based B/F detection is described below. f I: A pixel in a current frame, where I is the frame index.

dI = |f I - f I-1 |

f I-1 : A pixel in a previous frame ( f I and f I-1 at 4/22/12 the same location.)

d I: Absolute difference of f I and f I-1 . d I= |f I - f I-1 |

b I : B/F mask - 0: background. 0xff: foreground.

T: Threshold value.

The Original Image

If d I > T, f I belongs to the foreground; otherwise, it belongs to the background.

The some simple and small noise which is remained can be removed by morphological processing

It is done by two stages of Morphology algorithm (Dilation/Erosion)

Particle removing

uniform and binary region of the moving object will be achieved by using the filling algorithm

4/22/12

Motion boundary

It is not necessary to transmit the entire image.

We just extract the moving images from the boundary that was obtained.

Finally, extracted images from moving object are sent through LAN and/or Modem to Central Security System.

ADVANTAGES
Automatic security system Easily installable good efficiency for fast detection Low maintenance cost Easy to operate User helpfully Reduce burden of operator

4/22/12

Applicatio n
Used in high security areas like borders Security of a Mansion Used in museum Used in mall and shops

4/22/12

Future Scope
With the help of a stereo photogrammetric camera it can be mounted on vehicles as a combination of hardware and software to avoid accidents by motion sensing It can be used in automation We can be used GSM module in it. In high security areas we can use face recognition. We can used gesture recognition with it.

Current Status Of The Project

We are done with literature survey and synopsis We have understood the various requirements to develop a full proof security areas We have carried out an extensive literature survey We have studying most of the algorithms. We have studied books like gonzalez and sonka We have also studies projected related IEEE papers
