Introduction of customs clearance by PST and unloading in Maersk
Logistics

• All incoming shipments under customs supervision have to arrive to

Maersk Logistic, where is settled our customs broker PST.
• Declarant checks if T1 document is correctly issued (correct address
of consignee, correct weight, etc.) and other documents concerning to
shipments – invoices, packing lists, AWBs, freight calculations.
• For terminate of T1 document is needed:
T1 document
invoice
• then for customs clearance also

packing list
PST create record (clearance order) in CAIS on based of data from invoice
. Cais is customs internal system for evidence of bonded shipments.

Foxconn CZ has simplify customs procedure, so PST enters data from T1
document and invoice into system and electronically requires customs
office to allow offloading at Maersk. If customs office doesn’t require check
the cargo, the driver is allowed to go and unload the shipment.

When shipment is physically checked by Maersk and received quantity

correspond with quantity on invoice, then confirm shipment in CAIS.

Then PST terminates T1 document and make customs clearance of

shipment.

Afterwards the shipment is customs cleared, PST mark it as released by

Customs in Cais and goods can be used to production.

• Drivers arrived to Maersk Logistics without documents of some

shipments (invoices, packing lists, AWB) and we also don’t have them
(Panalpina hasn’t sent them), - no possibility to start customs clearance
and unloading. Drivers have to wait till Panalpina send us documents to
be able make customs clearance.
• Incorrect data on T1 document - we need a statement to be able make
customs clearance.
• Mistakes in freight calculations – also need a statement.
• Mixed or splitted cargo, but documents were issued for whole shipment
- then T1 document can’t be terminate, the shipment can’t be customs
clerared simplified and it takes longer to make customs clearance
throught customs office. If we don’t terminate T1 document before
expiry date, a penalty from customs office can appear.
• Cancelled T1 documents – a statement for customs office.

delivered to LUX, ETA FX advised to 1st Sep.
• 2nd Sep. – checking ETA from FX side, Panalpina confirmed 4 missing
pallets from AWB 63002632 and 1 pallet AWB 63002633
• the WH in LUX checked 4 times the inventory (2/9,3/9,5/9 and 8/9) but the
result was negative
• 3 remaining pallets should be delivered on Wednesday 10th Sep. –
withnout it´s own documentation there will be a customs issue
(Panalpina was informed but doc. not modified and goods sent to FX)
• The missed shipment contains 2 PNs of BU for Danzka platform in
amount USD 50,654.48
