What Is Dressing ?
Dressing plays an

important role in our life It tell us about our character.

Dressing functions as a form of adornment and an expression of personal taste or style.

Dressing reflects specific culture and social meanings.

Dressing reflect standards of modesty,

religion, gender.

Formal Dressing
Formal

dress is the grouping of all the dress codes which govern clothes worn to formal events.

It is a form of dress that

adheres to conservative rules regarding the cut, color and fit of garment.

Perception Of Formal Dressing

The way we dress formal it affects this value, that how

people around us perceive us a good person.

It does affect how other people perceive us, especially

when we are meeting people for the first time, the look is important to give first impression.
Dressing up formally is how you " sell " yourself so

don't take it too lightly , because lookism is very real in life.

wants to portray its image of trustworthiness and professional competence and formal clothes of the employees is a very loud statement in this regard.

Importance Of Formal Dress For Students

Prepares the students for
Formal corporate life.

It will be easier for them to make this transition if they are already used to wear formal dresses.

From the education point of view, sociologists argue that when students are allowed to wear clothes of their own choice, more than studies, they spend time on choosing a wardrobe which would make them a hit in the universities, especially with the opposite sex. This can have a negative impact on their education and their grades can fall. So, by making formal dress compulsory, universities are creating an atmosphere of learning.

You never get a second chance to make a first

impression.

Dress Codes
Grooming means dressing well, to be presentable to others. You may want to give a little more attention to how you dress at work because what you wear may be substantially influencing your career path. Although nothing takes the place of talent, hard work, innate ability and ambition, looking your professional best in the workplace can give you a competitive advantage. It simply means dressing in a way that projects an image of the sophisticated , successful working individual you are or would like to become.

Dress Code For Men

As a rule, the simpler the better.

Colours:

White, off white, pale, blue shirts are preferred; though you may wear dark colored shirts too. (given below are the colours preferred by professionals).

It is important to button up your shirt till the collar button

TROUSERS
They should preferably be dark

though you may wear beige and with a dark colored shirt. Try to have at least one pair of black trousers. Trousers may or may not have pleats

Your tie should co-ordinate with your attire The knot should be a perfect triangle

Do not enter a clinic like this (observe the tie and the shirt button)

SHOES
Wear a good pair of leather shoesblack and brown/tan shoes. Shoes must be polished everyday.

Do not wear shoes that look casual. Also, do not wear shoes with worn out heels.

Dress Code For Women

You may wear salwaar kameez or formal shirt/trousers

Preferably choose small prints or self colors. Avoid plunging necklines, sleeveless and tight fitting clothes

SHOES/SANDALS
Shoes with 1 - inch heels are standard. You may wear a pair with smaller heels or a flat pair. Stick with a black/brown pair. Be sure your shoes are polished and that your heels are intact.
Do not wear colorful sandals Avoid heels

Avoid white colored sandals as they get dirty easily. If you do, clean them well.
