Definition
• Reverse Logistics comprises of all activities
involved in managing, processing, reducing
and disposing of hazardous or non-
hazardous waste from production, packaging
including the processes of reverse
distribution.

GPS tracking unit
Device used to determine the precise
location of a vehicle, person, or other asset
to which it is attached.
Record the position of the asset at regular
intervals using ‘principle of Trilateration’

TYPES OF TRACKING

• PASSIVE TRACKING
• Passive devices store GPS location, speed,
heading and sometimes a triggering event.
• The device is removed and the data
downloaded to a computer for evaluation.

• ACTIVE TRACKING
• Active devices also collect the same information.

•Transmit the data in real-time via cellular or satellite


networks to a computer or data center for evaluation

Asset tracking allows companies to

asset.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery

• Both consumer and commercial vehicles can


be outfitted with RF or GPS units to allow
police to do tracking and recovery.

• The LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System


is a silent tracking device hidden in a vehicle
that is automatically activated by the police
when the owner reports their vehicle stolen.

• LoJack Early Warning

• Trailer tracking is used to increase productivity


by optimizing the use of trailer fleets.
• There are different types of trailer used for
different applications, e.g., flat bed container,
refrigerated container, box container.
