INTRODUCTIONEnergy conservation refers to efforts made to reduce energy consumption. Energy conservation can be achieved through increased efficient energy use, in conjunction with decreased energy consumption and /Orr educed consumption from conventional energy sources. Energy conservation can result in increased financial capital, environment quality, national security, personal, and human comfort. Individuals and organizations that are direct consumer of energy choose to conserve energy to reduce energy costs and promote economic security. Industrial and commercial users can increase energy use efficiency to maximize profit

The concept of energy helps us describe many processes in the world around us Stretching or compressing a spring stores elastic potential energy that can be released as kinetic energy
The process of vision begins with stored atomic

energy released as electromagnetic radiation (light) that is detected by exciting atoms in the eye, creating chemical energy.

Burning of gasoline in car engines converts chemical energy stored in the atomic bonds of the constituent atoms of gasoline into heat that then drives a piston, with gearing and road fiction. This motion is converted into the movement of the automobile Falling of water releases stored gravitational potential energy turning into a kinetic energy of motion. This mechanical energy can be used to spin turbines and alternators doing work to generate electrical energy. Its sent along with power times.

DIFFERENT SOURCES OF ENERGYSUN- Sun is the main source of energy. SOME OTHER SOURCES AREFOSSIL FUELS BIO FUELS WIND ECT.

THERE ARE 5 TYPES OF ENERGY

o o o o o MECHANICAL ENERGY HEAT ENERGY ELECTRICAL ENERGY GRAVITATIONAL ENERGY CHEMICAL ENERGY

MECHANICAL ENERGY

Mechanical energy is the of motion that does the work like a wind turns a windmill.

HEAT ENERGY
Where motion or rise in temperature is caused by heat like a fire in your fire place.

ELECTRICAL ENERGY
Electrical energy is when motion, light or heat is produced by an electrical current like the electrical coils in your stove.

GRVITATIONAL ENERGY
Where motion, like water going over a dam, is caused by gravity pull.

CHEMICAL ENERGY
Is the chemical reaction causing changes; food and fuel both store chemical change

Why do we need to save energyThere are three main reason why we should all do our best to reduce the amount of energy we consume in our day-to-day lives.

First reasonNearly some places electrical power, and their gas supplies, came from fossil fuelscoal and oil- which have to be imported. Once theyve been burnt, these fossil fuels are gone forever. So the more energy we use each day, the less there is left for the future.

Second reasonBurning fossil fuel creates pollution, and this in its having a growth and adverse effect on the complex control mechanisms which regulate the earths climate.

Third reasonConsuming less energy, by being more efficient in the way you run your home, will naturally save your money . At the same time you will helping to protect the environment and safe guarding he future.
