OFFICE
SAFETY
INTRODUCTION
Some of Sevoil staff work in offices at one time or the other or in places which are generally regarded as safe places of work where accidents are usually minor and not worth serious attention. Unfortunately, this popular belief is not supported by the facts and every year, many office-based personnel are involved in work related incidents which result in injury, lost time, financial burden and social disruption. The purpose of the presentation is to establish safe work practices for our office environments.

HOUSKEEPING
Good housekeeping is essential to safety. Clean a work area after finishing a job and at the end of each day. A clean area is more conductive to efficient operation than a sloppy, unsafe one. Store items in an orderly manner in cabinets or rooms designated for that purpose, and make sure that the heavy objects are place near floor level. Never store articles on filing cabinets or shelves where they could fall and cause an injury. PRACTICE CLEAR TABLE POLICY & AVOID TRIP HAZARDS
