Debates
Rick Perry has had a fairly rough time in the debates Often is the recipient of a lot of direct criticism http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPND 738X634

Jobs

Rick Perry prides himself in his ability to create jobs Says that 40 percent of all net new jobs in America have been created in Texas In Texas, he claims to have cut the property tax and taxes for small businesses This, combined with incentive programs, created an abundance of new jobs

Fiscal Responsibility
Rick Perry feels that Obama is refusing to control spending and our credit rating downgrade was directly because of Obama Prides himself on controlling spending in Texas by reducing spending, not increasing Taxes, even when times were very tough

Hes used his line-item veto to cut more than $3 billion in proposed spending more than all other Texas governors combined.

Feels that he has proved his budget cutting system in Texas and is ready to implement it in Washington.

National Security
Rick Perry believes that our country is most secure when our economy is the strongest in the world Will focus on rebuilding our economy first and foremost Believes in American exceptionalism America must seek peace from a position of strength Strengthen international borders

As Governor, Perry has directed hundreds of millions of dollars, manpower and resources to drastically reduce criminal activity along the border because Washington has refused to act.

There can be no homeland security without border security Also, a very firm believer in the death penalty

Health Care

Best way to improve healthcare is to stimulate job creation so more Americans are covered by health care plans given by employers
This will also have less people relying on

public safety net programs like Medicaid which will save taxpayer dollars

Rick Perry plans to repeal Obamacare if elected because it is a misguided, unconstitutional and unsustainable government takeover of our health care
