Introduction to the DC
The Data Center (DC) is a subsystem of the iManager N2000.The DC enables you to:
Back

up device data automatically or manually the history backup data

Recover Load

programs and patches on main/standby boards of devices

Create
Query

tasks to back up, save, and recover device data, and to load programs
device versions

Installing the DC

The DC is an integrated component in the installation disk of the N2000. To install the DC, select it when installing the N2000.

Logging In to the DC
In Windows OS, select Programs > iManager N2000 > DataCenter Client from the start menu, or double click the DC icon to display the login interface.

Select Options > Config System Information

Under the installation directory of the NMS Server, open the file folder bin. Double click tftpd32.exe Click the Tftp Server tab, and then click Settings. Set the directory which is the local TFTP root directory

In the common desktop environment (CDE), right click, and then select Files > File Manager.

In the window that appears, find the inetd.conf file in the etc directory, and
then double click the file.

In the file editor that appears, find the following command: tftp dgram udp6 wait root /usr/sbin/in.tftpd in.tftpd -s

/tftproot.If this command does not exist, add it. If this command is marked with #, delete the #, and then save the file.

In the /etc/init.d directory, use the ./inetsvc stop command to stop the

services.

Use the ./inetsvc start command to restart the services.

Saving Device Data

On the device navigation tree, click the root node Devices or a device type node.

In the right pane, click the Device Information tab. In the device information list, select the desired device, or hold down Ctrl and click desired devices.

Right click, and then select Save.


In the dialog box that appears, click Start to save the device data.

In the right pane, click the Device Information tab. In the device information list, select the desired device, or hold down Ctrl and click desired devices.

Right click, and then select Backup.

Select System > Task Information from the main menu. In the task information list, right click, and then select Create Recover Task. Enter the task name. Click Select Recover Files.

Introduction to the DSL Keeper


The DSL Keeper aims to manage broadband ADSL services. The DSL Keeper consists of three functional modules:

Installation

Install the DSL Keeper on a server

You can install the DSL Keeper together with the iManager N2000 by selecting the DSL Keeper component. There is no need to install a DSL Keeper client. You can use the Internet Explorer (IE) version 5.5 or later to log in to the DSL Keeper.

Add a user first


Start the iManager N2000. Select System > Security Management from the main menu. Add a user, set the access control list (ACL), user group, operation and administration authority.

Modify the IE settings


Start the IE. Select Tools > Internet Options

In the Temporary Internet files pane, click Settings


In the Check for newer versions of stored pages pane, select Every visit to the page.
