PONDICHERRY POLYMERS PRIVATE LTD.., is one of the

pioneers in the field of manufacturing PET Preforms, Pet Bottles &


Containers.

PROMOTER
The company is headed by SHRI. Arun Kumar Kainya Managing Director. The company was established on October 1997, nearly it has completed

ten years. It is located at Thiruvandar Koil.


At present there are 93 employees working in the concern.

OPERATIONS
The plant is equipped with High Qualified advance machines. The operation being processed through INJECTION MOLDING. BLOW MOLDING and ASB NISSIE.

ATTRITION
"A reduction in the number of employees through retirement, resignation or death"
Attrition, also known as employee turnover, or employee defection, is an industrial term used to describe loss of employees or Man power.

ATTRITION OCCURS DUE TO


Ineffective managers and management. Employees ineffective compatibility with supervisors. Inadequate working environment and conditions. Lack of pay for performance. Loss of opportunity for employees advancement. Pushing employees into contracts, agreements or bonds. Hiring over qualified people in corporate by the management.

FINDINGS

From the study it has found that 36% of employees get dissatisfy due to their salary, 20% due to work pressure, 14% due to work environment. 40% of respondents say, if they change their job the reason will be due to lack in growth opportunities & 36% due to family issues. 70% of respondents have freedom to convey their problems to the Toplevel management. 42% of respondents say that there is a decrease level in their dissatisfaction factors & 32% say there is a little bit decrease. From the Chi-square test it is found that there is significant difference regarding Employees freedom to convey problems and Considerations for employee creativity. From the study 34% of respondents says the company to be improved in work environment & 20% says employee motivation.

SUGGESTIONS

Most of the employees are not satisfied with their present salary, so the management is suggested to provide salary so that the employees may get satisfied and can take part with more involvement in their job. Many employees suggest to improve working environment and employee motivation. The company has less number of employees, so the company can recruit many employees in order to reduce the stress of existing employees. Many employees said that there is lack in growth opportunities in their job, so the company can look for some innovative technology. The company should keep regular meetings to know, what exactly the employees expects.

CONCLUSION

Whenever a well-trained & well-adapted employee leaves the organization, it creates a vacuum. So the organization loses the skills and business relationship. From the study it is identified that, the employees put forward their reasons to change their job are Lack of growth opportunities & Family issues. The study concludes that, to reduce attrition, Pondicherry Polymers Private Ltd should create more opportunities for the growth of their employees through adopting new innovative technology, effective training programs and the company can recruit people who are around puducherry, so that the family issue factor will not lead to attrition in future.

LIMITATIONS

The study has been done based on the existing employees and not with any corporate Alumnis. The data collected in the study may be valid for few months. Hence the result obtained might not be helpful for the management after a period of months.

SCOPE FOR THE STUDY

The study can help the management to know where the company is

lagging behind and helps to improve its internal & external


environments.

This study can help the management to find the weaker parts of the employees feel towards the company and helps in converting those to stronger.

This study helps the management to know for which reason employees get tend to change their job from the company.
