Brick-making Process
Raw Material Procurement clay sand (free of Silica, Feldspar & Magnesite), sand (white, red, brown).

Clay preparation disintegration, crushing and mixing of clay

Molding of clay molding the clay mixture in different molds

Drying the bricks - preferably sun dried or in a kiln

Firing and tempering the bricks - to decrease water content and increase strength

Packaging & Delivery

Colouring is done by addition of a combination of pigments, aqueous based chemical solutions, metal oxides, alkalis to the clay mixture like Calcium silicate, lime to get pastel shades Alkalis are added and hard fried to get darker shades eg. Purple, dark brown, magenta etc Alumina is added to get lighter shades. Organic materials like lime washes and soot washes are used to get aging looks. Surface treatments like pressurized spraying and airbrushing.
