Psychology of behaviour

"The soul is like an iceberg; it contains a conscious part and an unconscious part. - Sigmund Freud He considered human spirit to an iceberg .

Psychology of behaviour
The visible part of the iceberg (spirit) is the conscious part, which consists of everything we know and remember and the thinking processes through which we function. The unconscious part is made up of everything we have ever learned or experienced, including that which has been "forgotten .

Psychology of behaviour
Freud asserted that human behaviour could be explained by two major instincts: the instinct to survive (e.g. . Farming )and . the instinct to avoid death, which causes aggression.

A mother rat, for example, will be prepared to suffer pain in order to get food for her youngsters. This is called maternal instinct. A hungry boy will climb the slabs of kitchen to get something to eat , in case his parents are not at home .

Daily behavior
Accidental Gestures Many of our gestures are unintentional. We scratch our head to remove itch, but not to convey a message to someone else. For example, if a student following a course puts his head to rest in his hands, it may reflect fatigue, but will also reflect that the course is boring.

UNINTENTIONAL" acts can also be used intentionally. For example, a student who wants to tease a teacher, may pretend that the course is boring by putting his head at rest in his hands.

Gestures of Expression Gestures of expression have a biological background; they have the same meaning throughout the whole world. Although gestures of expression can be found in many populations of people, they are influenced by cultural backgrounds. Not all people in the world smile in the same way, although we all have the same musculature.

Mimic Gestures
On a party people laugh, even though they are not in the mood, because you are expected to be happy and to laugh. For example, playing the role of a bird or a tree. Or holding the hands together like holding a gun

Body Language Body language is usually more informative than words. It is easier to lie with words, than with body language.

Examples of body language When you meet a person for the first time, the first 10 seconds will give an impression, which to a large extent will determine whether you will like this person or not. In these first ten seconds, you will notice impressions like nervousness, seriousness, etc.

Misunderstandings 1. A person was supposed to lie when he was scratching his nose. Obviously, it may also be a reason to scratch the nose. Today, we know that things are more complicated. 2. body language can be used to manipulate other people
