SUMMARY
PHOTOVOLTAIC ENERGY
Photovoltaic phenomenon
the term photovoltaic emanates from the Greek word light and voltaic that it means electric, from the name of Italian physic professor Volta, from whom emanated the unit of electric tendency (volt). The term photovoltaic (P/V) was in effect in the English terminology since 1849. the P/V Phenomenon was discovered by 19teen year old French physic professor Alexander Edmond Becquerel (1820-1891) in 1839.
Solar cell is named the electronic provision that produces electric energy under the effect of solar radiation.
p/v module it is each total of p/v module connected from each other in line or at the same time.
the total elements that constitutes the p/v module are from 36 until 72.
a P/C has dimensions 125x125mm and force roughly 3.5Wp and tendency of open circuit 0.5V
each p/v module depending on the type of manufacture has differently electric characteristics.
pv modules they can be placed in roofs of home, flat-roof, shelters, facades of buildings etc.
Inverter it is a electronic appliance that changes continuous current DC in alternating AC. It is connected in line with a photovoltaic frame, a regulator charge and a coupling of batteries
Charge Controller is an appliance that is used in autonomous systems in order to it regulates the correct charge and discharge of accumulators of P/V system.
PV Arrays - PV System can be placed in the soil, in roofs of buildings, in webs, in special trees, in parks, in space vehicles etc. if PV arrays are placed in the flat-roof of buildings it will be supposed that they have Southern Orientation, be without rainfalls, does not fall shade above them, without wind and PV arrays are not near from electric cables of NATIONAL ELECTRICAL COMPANY

A Grid Connected PV System is in permanent connection with the grid of National Electrical Company with a purpose the energy already produced to send in electrical cables to electricity system. Do not exist stocking mechanisms and such installation should drawn with way that would attribute the biggest annual electric energy. This is achieved with combination of many factors. Grid connected systems vary in size from residential (2-10kWp) to solar power stations (up to 10s of GWp). This is a form of decentralized electricity generation. In the case of residential or building mounted grid connected PV systems, the electricity demand of the building is met by the PV system.
Grid Grid
In the category of autonomous photovoltaic systems from 100WP 200WP are included systems which produce electric energy and are not connected with the electric Network.

Hybrid systems
A hybrid system combines PV with other forms of generation, usually a diesel generator. Biogas is also used. The other form of generation may be a type able to modulate power output as a function of demand. However more than one renewable form of energy may be used e.g. wind. The photovoltaic power generation serves to reduce the consumption of non renewable fuel. Hybrid systems are most often found on islands. Pellworm island in Germany and Kythnos island in Greece are notable examples (both are combined with wind). The Kythnos plant has diocane diesel consumption by 11.2%
