Description
Loading the NE software. The NE software is lost, or waiting to be loaded. Normal operation. Critical or major alarm occurs. Minor alarm occurs. Critical audible alarm sound is off. No optical signals receive or optical power is too low. E1 port is not used. E1_LOS alarm occurs to E1 path. Major alarms (not E1-LOS) occur to E1 path. Minor alarm occurs to E1 path. BIPEXC alarm occurs to E1 path. E1 path is in use and no alarm occurs. Physical connection is normal. Physical connection is not ready or broken. Data are being transmitted. No data is being transmitted.

Functions
Processes up to 16 E1 signals. Collects the alarms and performance events of the VC12 channel and sends to SCC unit. Provides inloop/outloop to E1 signals for fast fault location. Provides E1 signal pseudo-random binary sequence test function. Copyright 2006 Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. All rights reserved. Page17 Provides the interface impedance of 120 delivery). or 75 Extracts the 2 MHz clock of the 1st and 9th E1 signals and sends it to the clock unit as the tributary clock source.

EGT
Functions Provides one 1000MBASE-X/T interface to finish the
transparent transmission of 1000M Ethernet services.
1 XVC4
Supports non-auto-negotiation flow control function. Supports up to 3 x VC3s or 63 x VC12s binding bandwidth.
Supports the generic framing procedure-framed (GFP- Supports VC12-level or VC3-level virtual concatenation. F), Link Access Procedure-SDH (LAPS) and High level Data Link Control (HDLC) encapsulation protocol. Sends test frames in line direction to test the services status. Supports JUMBO frame of 9600 bytes. Supports Copyright 2006 Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. All rights reserved. link capacity adjustment scheme (LCAS). Page20

Ethernet Unit
Functions Provides clock synchronization for the STM-1 line unit, E1 tributary unit and Ethernet tributary unit.
Locks the line clock of the STM-1 line unit or the 1st and the 9th tributary clock source of the E1 tributary unit. When the OptiX Metro 100 is configured as an TM, and the clock unit is STGT, the clock supports the locked mode and free-run mode. When the OptiX Metro 100 is configured as an ADM, and the clock unit is STGA, the clock supports the locked mode, holdover mode and free-run mode. Copyright 2006 Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.
