WHAT IS ROLLTOP?
Roll top is a portable, futuristic foldable laptop .
New flexible notebook concept. OLED-Display technology and a multi touch screen .

A mini-notebook and screen size of 13 inch .

17-inch flat screen can be also used . Diameter of 8.3cm, length 28cm, weight of 5 kg.

 Rolltop Computer is a portable stylized computing device that can act as a laptop, tablet, eReader or even a TV.

No laptop bag needed all computer utilities from an interactive pen through power supply to the holding belt are integrated in Roll top. The flexible OLED display and a tower, on which the display is wrapped around. The tower contains the power adapter, speaker, webcam and the USB interface.

Difference between Rolltop and Laptop

Laptop Consists of many accessories and gadgets. Even with smaller designs, big bag is required. Display screen is fixed. More weight and big in size compared to rolltop. Rolltop Less accessories and all in one gadget. No bag is required. Display screen can be folded. Less weight and small in size.

Proposition
Rolltop is not only a virtual and futuristic gadget, existing on the screen of your computer as in the most of similar concepts and visions! Most of the existing design concepts usually have been developed without any deep technologic and ergonomic elaboration. Rolltop has been developed as a real future product. During its development a lot of different scenarios (e.g. usability, functionality etc.) were simulated. Moreover Rolltop is the best worldwide ergonomic, mechanic and electronic practices.

Technology
The device of the flexible display allows a new concept in notebook design growing out of the traditional book formed laptop into unfurling and convolving portable computer. Rolltop incorporates both latest high-tech devices and a new brand design techniques into a computer that will increase the quality and productivity of the designers work. On top of everything else no laptop bag needed all computer utilities from an interactive pen through power supply to the holding belt are integrated in Rolltop. This is really an all-in-one gadget.

The future computer should come in the form of the proposed Orkin Designs rolltop a conceptual computer that would have a screen rollable into bigger size, or just like traditional newspaper which you could roll it up when not in use.

Imagine if you could roll up your laptop like a newspaper and open it when required, and what if you could turn your laptop into a primary monitor if you wanted to play some awesome video games or any other applications to be done? The keyboard is created by a touch screen on half of the device while the other half is the viewing screen. The carrying strap is actually the power cord. One end pulls out and goes to an outlet. A small wire then extends from this and attaches to the 12 computer.

Thanks to its OLED-Display technology and a multi touch screen, it can be used a laptop while it weighs as much as mini notebook. It comes with a 13 inch screen while being used a laptop and when being used as a monitor, you could get a cool 17 inches screen.

 A display screen that allows multiple tasks to be done at a time. An interactive pen is part of the device and slides out when needed. It is used in resistive touch screen. This touch screen keyboard can also be used to extend the viewing area when you want to use the roll top computer as a tablet. It makes a very large tablet that is great for graphic artists.

Advantages
Portable computer. Easy to carry everywhere and anywhere. Flexible OLED display on both the display panel and keyboard. Multi-touch technology. You can stand it upright with a fold out support leg and watch videos like a flat screen TV. The removable power supply stand. It is tough, flexible and energy saving .

Disadvantages
Hard to type on a digital QWERTY keyboard. More expensive than laptops. Yet to come in the market. Some software may also be incompatible with rolltop hardware. Installations of different operating systems than those bundled with the laptop may result in hardware failures. Cannot use CDs or DVDs because they are obsolete.

Applications
Many Softwares can be installed into the small gadget. Built-in Webcam and USB ports. Built in speakers. Can be connected to internet through Wi-Fi as in laptop. Connectivity. Handy utility to print or save a list of files located in any folder.

Main Goal
Combine the laptop monitor & graphics tablet into one gadget. Avoid additional accessories. Consumers have an option to buy a computer and a graphics tablet , but they are not able to use them as one laptop.

Conclusion
At the end we conclude that using Rolltops we can have development concept for designer with advanced features and technology. Rolltop 2.0 is a further development of Rolltop with some visible and mostly invisible improvements (e.g. internal design, placement of certain components etc.)
