Digital Presentations/Evaluation

Research & Planning


There is research into similar products and a potential target audience. There is organisation of actors, locations, costumes or props. There is work on shot lists, layouts, drafting, scripting or storyboarding. There is a level of care in the presentation of the research and planning Time management .

Production
There is evidence of the creative use of many of the following technical skills:

holding a shot steady, where appropriate;


framing a shot, including and excluding elements as appropriate; using a variety of shot distances as appropriate;

shooting material appropriate to the task set;


selecting mise-en-scne including colour, figure, lighting, objects and setting; editing so that meaning is apparent to the viewer;

using varied shot transitions and other effects selectively and appropriately for the task set;
using sound with images and editing appropriately for the task set; using titles appropriately.

Evaluation
understanding of issues around audience, institution, technology, representation, forms and conventions in relation to production. ability to refer to the choices made and outcomes. understanding of their development from preliminary to full task. ability to communicate. skill in the use of digital technology or ICT in the evaluation

Evaluation Questions
In what ways does your product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real products?

existing product this is what I found Genre/target audience how do magazines target their readers? Market research this is why I did what I did

How does your product represent particular social groups? Close analysis of copy/photos etc target audience, genre, representation, mise-enscene, language

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? What companies produce the existing product that you have researched would they produce your product? Why?

Who would be the audience for your product? TA research/ market research/ audience feedback - justify

How did you attract/address your audience? Close analysis title, layout, images, language justify with market research

What have you leant about technologies from the process of constructing this product? Explain problems with adobe say how you overcame them and how you worked within the parameters of your capabilities

Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? Important reflective/evaluative
