Tithe Applotment: the tithe was a land-based tax

extracted from rural Ireland between 1823 and 1837 to support the Church of Ireland Griffiths Primary Valuation: made between 1848 and 1864 the valuation was made of taxable property in every parish in Ireland the tax based on the property valuation was used to support the poor Householders Index: also called Index of Surnames was created by the NLI to index the surnames occurring in Griffiths Valuation and the Tithe Applotment Book
