JENIS-JENIS SATELIT

Satelit astronomi :digunakan untuk memerhati dan mengkaji planet, bintang dan objek-objek jauh lain. Satelit komunikasi digunakan untuk tujuan telekomunikasi. Siaran radio dan televisyen boleh dipancarkan menggunakan frekuensi gelombang mikro.

Satelit pantau bumi digunakan untuk memantau permukaan bumi melalui orbit untuk tujuan pemerhatian alam sekitar, kaji cuaca atau pembuatan peta.

JENIS-JENIS SATELIT

Satelit cuaca mencatat dan mengirimkan maklumat tentang keadaan cuaca dan iklim bumi. Satelit ketenteraan merupakan satelit komunikasi atau satelit pantau bumi yang digunakan oleh pihak tentera. Satelit pandu arah digunakan untuk navigasi dan pembuatan peta. Isyarat masa radio membolehkan pengguna mengetahui kedudukan mereka dengan tepat melalui sistem GPS.
