Street theater teams are hired to advertise and to publicize the Olympic games. The following policy was designed based on the rules relating to scientific management.
Introduction
The use of scientific methods to define the one best way for a job to be done.
- Federick W. Taylor - Frank and Lilian Gilberth
THEORIES
Our policy applies to the main employees of the street theater team inclusive of :
Develop a science for each element of an individuals work, which will replace the old rule- of thumb method. (observe and recruit) scientifically select and then train, teach and develop the worker. (filter and train) Heartily cooperate with the workers so as to ensure that all work is done in accordance with the principles of the science that has been developed. (communicate and cooperate) Divide work and responsibility almost equally between management and workers. Management takes over all work for which it is better fitted than the workers are. (division and equality)
A resume is required to reflect pass work experience which meet the standard of the position in order to get the right person on the jobs. Scientific selection was carry out whereby employee from the street theater company were required to go through to a selection (audition) process based on individual best skill.
A professional committee from the London Olympic organizing body will select the best participants. Selectees are required to undergo intensive training and teaching to develop a performance of certain standard and preference according to the organizing body.
A team leader is selected to cooperate with the team as well as to apply conceptual skill to ensure the work is done in accordance to the principle. The leader guides and communicates with the team to bring out the best of each individual.
It must be ensured that work and responsibility are divided to each and every team member where each person plays their role and everyone pulls their weight. Work and responsibility should be allocated equally to all members accordingly to their individual capability in accomplishing tasks within a given time.
Actions consuming shorter time period. Enabling task to be done precisely and efficiently.
Every machinery and/or tools must be operating at optimum level. Performers should follow strictly on procedures and regulations in order to avoid inefficiency.
Instead of doing a formal format of the policy, we have chosen to explain the policy in each principle in the Fredrick W Taylor scientific theory. Based on these principles it is seen that in scientific management, the best and most skilled employee is chosen to handle a certain task to ensure excellence in production.
